Single Implant Front Tooth

Before
After

Our patient came to us with a cracked front tooth. After consultation of the various treatment options available to meet the  patients desires, the choice of an implant was made to achieve the esthetic benefits of a beautiful smile, the guaranteed endurance of the treatment, and the oral health benefit of strengthening jaw bone structure.

Single Tooth Implant

If you are looking for a dental treatment which will provide you the best solution for one missing tooth, then single tooth implants are one of the best choices in the recent times. Single tooth implants provide several benefits to the patients who have recently lost one or more tooth in different areas of implants and want to get single dental implants to replace the space. The dental implants function appreciably for at least 10-12 years. So, you can see that the life of a dental implant is much more than most of the other dental treatment options.

The single tooth implant restoration consists of three parts. Namely, the implant post which replaces the tooth root, the abutment which will support the crown and the prosthetic crown itself. The crown is either cemented onto the abutment or held in place with a screw. The parts of the single tooth implant are bio-compatible to the tissues of the mouth. Therefore, they do not cause any side effects in the oral cavity.

Note :- The call to do the implant + crown simultaneously* depends on host of factors including bone density.

TIME FRAME & SITTINGS

We prefer to do the Implants in 1st visit along with temporaries, which should be changed to permanent Porcelain teeth after 6 months time, hence we recommend a second visit to us after at least 6 months. But if the conditions are fine, we can do IMMEDIATE LOADING with Crowns during the same visit. Each visit should be for at least 7-14 days time.

Step 1: Implant Placement

  • The first image shows the initial state with a missing front tooth.

  • The second image depicts the implant being placed into the jawbone.

Step 2: Osseointegration

  • This is the healing period where the implant integrates with the jawbone. This process typically takes 3-6 months.

  • During this time, a temporary crown or bridge (not shown in the images) may be placed to maintain function and aesthetics.

Step 3: Abutment Placement

  • The third image shows the abutment being placed on top of the implant.

  • The abutment serves as the connector between the implant and the crown.

Step 4: Crown Placement

  • The fourth image shows a temporary crown being placed on the abutment.

  • An impression is taken to create a custom-made crown.

  • The final crown, made of porcelain or other suitable materials, is then placed and secured onto the abutment.

Step 5: Final Result

  • The last three images demonstrate the final outcome with the natural-looking and functioning implant-supported crown.

The series of before and after photos below show a patient receiving a central incisor. The top row is the abutement placement and the bottom row is the attaching of the implant crown.
